29 years
What is your primary product or service?
Horse education, equine bodywork and horse property planning
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I came out of the womb loving horses. I pleasure rode and trail rode through out my childhood and early adulthood. I chose to make it my career in my mid twenties. I graduated from Merideth Manor International School of Horsemanship in 1980 with a double Major in Dressage and Jumping. I immediately began teaching riding and training horses and have continued to teach and train since then. I have attended many workshops and clinics to upgrade my own education and have been certified in TTEAM and Ttouch, in MyoFascial Release, and in REIKI. I also have a keen interest in the environment and ecology and studied the natural sciences in college. I completed the Texas Master Naturalist Program in 2002 and volunteered as a docent at Bamburger Ranch. The combination of my interests and education has given me a holistic approach to keeping, training and caring for horses and conserving the land we keep them on.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I teach people to see and consider the bigger picture in working with horses to get greater connection and results. My riding lesson and horse training programs include equine bodywork and adjusting the horse's environment in solving challenges. Kindness, safety and consideration are our top priorities.
I offer horse property planning to make life with horses easier, safer, more efficient and more fun!
